Love Frogs

These little tree frogs were done for Valentine's day.  They looked like they were in love.  This piece is coloured pencil done on Fabriano Artistico watercolour paper.  I used a DIY icarus board to warm the paper to allow the coloured pencil to mix easier.  I purchased a seed warming mat from Amazon and placed plexiglass on top as my drawing surface.  I enjoyed this warm surface not only to make burnishing easier but the heat on my hands was very therapeutic.  This was inspired by a tutorial from Bonny Snowden a wildlife colour pencil artist from Britain.
